Crown Cipher Publishing is an independent literary house devoted to fearless storytelling — voices that write with blood memory, intellect, and consequence.
We are not a vanity press. We are not a volume operation. We are the house that protects art that still feels dangerous to tell.

What We’re Looking For

We publish literary fiction, psychological drama, confessional narratives, and emotionally charged cross-genre work that aligns with the Crown Cipher ethos:
authentic, unflinching, and human.

We are especially interested in:

  • Lyrical, voice-driven fiction (letters, memoir-inspired, or psychological realism)
  • Stories exploring love, identity, grief, ambition, faith, and transformation
  • Urban literary works that fuse intellect and heart
  • Dark realism, domestic suspense, or psychological horror under our Cipher Black imprint

We are not currently seeking fantasy, fanfiction, erotica, or religious proselytizing.

Submission Guidelines

To be considered, your manuscript must follow Crown Cipher Universal Formatting v2 standards:

File Requirements

  • .docx format
  • Double-spaced, 12-pt Times New Roman
  • Mirrored headers: author name (left) | manuscript title (right)
  • No paragraph indents; use line breaks between paragraphs
  • Include word count and genre on the title page

Length

  • Novels: 40,000–100,000 words
  • Novellas: 25,000–40,000 words
  • Collections / Confessionals: 25–60 pieces, 40,000–60,000 words total

Upload a single .docx file containing:

  1. A one-page synopsis
  2. The first three chapters or first 5,000 words
  3. A brief author bio (300 words max)
  4. Statement of fit: Why your work belongs under the Crown Cipher banner.

What Happens Next

If your submission aligns with our house mission, you’ll receive a request for the full manuscript within 4–6 weeks.
Every accepted author receives:

  • Full editorial and layout production following CCP standards
  • ISBN registration, distribution setup, and marketing integration
  • Eligibility for Crown Cipher’s Royal and Elite Ambassador promotions
